The Hallow left us feeling hollow inside…
Directed by Corin Hardy, The Hallow is an Irish horror movie about a botanist who is not Mark Watney upending his family’s life when he discovers the ultimate black mold in the woods near his house.
A movie full of interesting shots, nice cinematography, and an interesting premise, The Hallow nevertheless doesn’t quite find its equilibrium. The movie drags through two of its acts and doesn’t quite have a climax that manages to make it one of the more interesting indie horror movies we’ve seen.
