Welcome back to our latest look at the futuristic theme park known as Westworld. This time around, we INTENDED to record a show covering episodes five and six, but conspiracy theories took over and we’ll be splitting it into two shows. This time around, then, we get deep into the dual timelines theory and Duncan offers up his views on why this is making more and more sense, Bo doubles down on space ships, we get a Heat-like scene with two actors doing great work, the elephant (trunk) in the room, we offer dueling Anthony Hopkins impressions, and so, so much more! Get your notes out, we’re getting twisty this time on Duncan and Bo Go to Westworld!

Greeting gents!
As always a fantastic episode!
This fits in more with next weeks episode but I have a theory. Maeve has solved the maze. Stick with me, from the Hosts point of view all of Westworld is a labyrinth and they don’t even know they’re in it. Don’t believe me,what happens when you’re get lost in a maze? you go around in circles and end up where you started. What is the routine the Hosts have called by the employees of Delos, the loop, where they go around their world and always end up where they began.
Maeve, with a little help, has managed to investigate Westworld, developed a theory, took steps to get to prove her theory and wound up in the body shop managing to “wake up” outside of the maze, exceeding her program. Once there she’s strong armed a couple of techs and begun making changes to her own program.
This might also the missing piece of Arnold’s conciousness pyramid. Memory, Improvisation, Self-Interest and now…free will.
I’d love to hear you guys explore this.
Looking forward to the next episode.
Great notes, Gremlin! The idea of Maeve being the center of the maze makes a lot of sense. We will definitely explore further!
Too excited for the next episode to post. Okay new Man in Black theory. William’s last name is Ford, and he’s the Man in Black. He’s Anthony Hopkin’s son. After his visit to Westworld he disowned/became estranged his father and began a quest to unlock the Hosts. He grew ambitious and took over Logan’s company, for want of a better description, with the help of his new wife and got a hold of part of Delos and became member of the board. Giving him super duper VIP status in the park on his vacations for the next 30 years. If your wondering how he can be part of Delos and the life saving organization it is possible for people to members of multiple boards, and many people are today. Bernard is Hopkins attempt at making an obedient son in his own image and to get over the pseudo-loss of his biological son. This relies heavily on the timeline theory of course.
